Work out your seats
Seats are per person – a trustee on three committees is one seat.
20 seats come to $400 a month, plus about $100 a month to Microsoft for Power Apps.
A worked example
A non-profit board runs governance with 25 participants – committee chairs, voting members, and action owners across three committees.
25 seats come to $500 a month, plus about $125 a month to Microsoft for Power Apps.2

Billing questions
- Who bills us?
- Microsoft. SteadyState appears on your Microsoft invoice like any Microsoft product. There is no separate vendor invoice or financial details held by us.
- How are licenses managed?
- In the Microsoft 365 admin center, exactly like Office licenses. Assign, reassign, or remove seats any time.
- Who needs a seat?
- People who draft, vote or run meetings in the app. People without a seat need no SteadyState license. Anyone can share a verdict with them by Teams or email.
- What else do we need?
- Each seated user needs Power Apps licensing from Microsoft (per-app at $5/user/month is sufficient), plus your existing Microsoft 365. Nothing else.
- Where does our data live?
- In your own Microsoft Dataverse environment, in your tenant. We never host, receive, or access your governance records.
- How do we cancel?
- Through the Microsoft 365 admin center subscription management; Microsoft's marketplace refund/cancellation policy applies.
- Enterprise/government pricing?
- Contact us – volume pricing is delivered as a private AppSource plan, so purchase and billing still run through your Microsoft agreement.
- 1The optional Teams flow is off by default. When it is on, it posts approved decisions from unanimous-consent committees to a committee channel. Otherwise someone shares the verdict by hand.
- 2Note: SteadyState is a premium Power App, so each seated user also needs Power Apps licensing from Microsoft. The $5/user/month per-app plan is sufficient, and users who already hold Power Apps Premium are covered. People without a seat need neither license; anyone can share a verdict with them by Teams or email. Verified 2026-10-14 against Microsoft's Power Platform licensing FAQ.
